Rancho Santa Fe is San Diego's estate country — eucalyptus-lined lanes, sprawling private grounds, and some of the most exclusive wedding venues in the region.
The look here is different from the coast: golden hills, mature gardens, and architecture that does a lot of the work. It suits couples after something elegant and private.
Getting there: About 30 minutes north of downtown, inland from Del Mar.
Local know-how: Most venues here are private estates with their own rules and preferred-vendor lists — I coordinate directly with each. Golden light through the hills is the highlight; we build the timeline around it.
